Angela Casauay

Angela covers politics and the peace process in Mindanao for Rappler.

She was born and raised in Cavite.After high school, she moved to Quezon City to study at the Ateneo de Manila University, where she finished her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing, with a minor degree in Philippine Literature.

As a university student, Angela served as the Managing Editor of Matanglawin, the official student publication of the Ateneo in Filipino. Fresh out of college, she worked for the Manila office of Sun.Star. After a year, she decided to pursue a master's degree in Journalism and Communication at the University of New South Wales in Sydney,Australia.

Angela has since worked in Sydney, and undertaken internships in Melbourne, and Cape Town in South Africa. If Angela was not in the media, she would most likely be an events coordinator or the owner of a neighborhood bar.
