Camille Elemia

Camille covers politics for Rappler, currently focused on the Senate and the Office of the President.

She is not new to political reporting, having been the senior political reporter of Solar News Channel (now CNN Philippines). Her baptism of fire was the coverage of the impeachment trial of then Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona in 2012.

Camille graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Research. She tried to practice her course right after college but felt something was missing. She instantly knew what she wanted – to be a journalist.

A fellow of the Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism, she graduated with a degree in MA Journalism from the Ateneo de Manila University in June 2016.

Her other interests include dogs, food, and travel.
