MANILA, Philippines – Starting midnight on Friday, October 16, portions of Elliptical Road in Quezon City will be closed to motorists to give way for a flood control project.
The project, which will last until November 5 or over a period of 21 days, will involve the re-positioning of underground telephone cables and the installation of drainpipes.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes to avoid heavy traffic along the Elliptical Road and Quezon Avenue intersection.
- From North Avenue going to Quezon Memorial Circle, turn right to Agham Road/BIR Road
- From Commonwealth Avenue going to EDSA/Balintawak, take Central Avenue to Muñoz
- From Commonwealth Avenue going to EDSA/Makati, take Katipunan Road to C5
- From East Avenue, Kalayaan Avenue, Commonwealth Avenue and Visayas Avenue going to Quezon Avenue, take North Avenue and turn left at Agham Road
