Undas 2015: Parañaque sets rerouting scheme

MANILA, Philippines – Parañaque City will be implementing a rerouting scheme this weekend in preparation for the expected influx of people visiting cemeteries for the observance of All Saints' Day.

Starting 6 am on Friday, October 30, until Monday, November 2, the alternative route scheme will be used along the stretch of Dr. A. Santos Avenue, to direct motorists entering Manila Memorial Park and Loyola Memorial Park.

Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez has ordered the deployment of police patrol units, ambulances, and emergency service crews to ensure the safety and security of the public.

A command center will be set up at the two cemeteries and at Palanyag in Barangay San Dionisio. Health and emergency services personnel will also be on 24-hour alert. – Rappler.com
