PAL to travelers: Go to airport early
MANILA, Philippines- With thousands of passengers expected to travel for the holidays, flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) and its low-cost carrier unit, PAL Express (PALEX), reminded passengers to go to the airport early to avoid being dislodged from their booked flights, and to avoid flight delays.
In an advisory on Monday, December 23, PAL reminded passengers of domestic flights to be at the airports at least 2 hours before scheduled departure. Passengers of international flights should check in at least 3 hours before departure time.
PAL said it has deployed more personnel in airports where PAL and PALEX operate.
PAL also beefed up security measures by deploying more security personnel and bomb-sniffing K-9 dogs at key points of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminals 2 and 3.
The ambush was not caught onsecurity cameras since none were installed in the crime scene, generating criticism of the government’s slow progress in modernizing the country’s main gateway. – Cherrie Regalado/Rappler.com
