IOM to launch anti-human trafficking initiative with US State Department

TACLOBAN, Philippines - The International Organization for Migration (IOM), in cooperation with the Inter Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), and the United States State Department will launch a new counter trafficking initiative on October 20 in Patio Victoria, San Jose, Tacloban City.
- Improve affected populations’ access to referral channels through targeted awareness-raising activities
- Strengthen the technical and operational capacity of key service providers to identify and assist victims of trafficking
- Enhance direct assistance for Haiyan-affected victims of trafficking through operation of the Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Emergency Support Fund
