China grows 7.6% in Q2, slowest pace in 3 years
BEIJING, China - China said on Friday its economy grew by 7.6 percent in the second quarter of 2012, the slowest pace in more than three years.
This dragged down growth for the world's second-largest economy to 7.8 percent for the first half of the year, the National Bureau of Statistics said.
Gross domestic product growth was 8.1 percent in the first quarter, according to previously released figures.
In comparison, the Philippines grew 6.4% in the first quarter and expects to sustain a 5% to 6% growth in 2013. - Agence France-Presse
