MANILA, Philippines – Emma Watson has come a long way from being the frizzy-haired nerd Hermione in the "Harry Potter" movies to the rebel Nicki in the film "The Bling Ring."

Directed by Academy Award winner Sofia Coppola ("Lost in Translation"), Watson's new film retells the true-to-life story of The Burglar Bunch, a group of wild, fame-seeking teenagers who raided the homes of famous celebrities Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, Lindsay Lohan, and Megan Fox, among others.

Watson stirred much talk when she decided to take on mature roles. The Bling Ring, for instance, prompted her to change her look, show more skin, and even learn how to pole dance.

The Bling Ring is set for US release in June 2013.
