MANILA, Philippines - Janelle Arthur bid American Idol goodbye in the April 18 (April 19 MNL) episode of the show.
The judges decided — although not unanimously — not to save her even if, according to HollywoodLife.com, 60% of fans on Twitter thought she deserved the save.

After saying that the results were in “no particular order,” host Ryan Seacrest announced that Candice Glover was the first one sent to safety by American voters. Angie Miller came next, followed by Amber Holcomb. In the bottom two were Kree Harrison and Janelle Arthur.
Other highlights of the night included a performance of former AI judge Paula Abdul. She also praised Candice Glover for her rendition of her song “Straight Up” in the previous episode. The singer even took a moment to sit at the judges' table.
Also revisiting the “Idol” stage were Clay Aiken (first runner-up, season two) and Fantasia Barrino (winner, season 3).
With Janelle eliminated, the remaining top 4 are:
- Candice Glover
- Angie Miller
- Amber Holcomb
- Kree Harrison
