MANILA, Philippines - Miley Cyrus has been transitioning from braids and ponytails to sophisticated highlights and curls these past 3 years that she was dating Liam Hemsworth, but did anyone ever foresee Cyrus getting engaged at the age of 19?
"I'm so happy to be engaged and (I) look forward to a life of happiness with Liam," the Disney star and singer tells People.com.
Cyrus met Hemsworth at the set of their movie The Last Song in 2009, and they have been dating ever since. Hemsworth, the Aussie star of The Hunger Games, reportedly proposed May 31 with a 3.5-carat diamond ring from jeweler Neil Lane.
Cyrus' character as Hannah Montana in the Walt Disney series of the same name shot her to fame and has kept her from "maturing" physically in the minds of some.
