Laneway Singapore 2015 update: Lykke Li out, Jon Hopkins in
MANILA, Philippines – Organizers of this year’s Laneway Music Festival in Singapore have announced a couple of changes to the lineup.
Swedish indie singer-songwriter Lykke Li has had to pull out for health reasons. She released this statement:
“I’m incredibly sorry to announce that I’m no longer able to play in Australia, new Zealand, and Singapore for Laneway Festival. It’s been a long time coming, but unfortunately, tour life has caught up with me, and it’s been recommended that I take a break. I’m devastated, but I know I will return. Thank you for all the support, and I sincerely hope I can make it up to you at a later date.”
Filling up the slot vacated by Lykke Li is British electronic artist Jon Hopkins. Also a producer and film scorer, Hopkins is well-known for his collaborations with artists like Coldplay, Brian Eno and David Holmes.
His latest album, Immunity, was nominated for the 2013 Mercury Music Prize, while his work composing the score for the film Monsters was was nominated for the Ivor Novello award for songwriters and composers.
Hopkins is expected to bring a touch of EDM to the Laneway festivities this year.

The app is constantly updated with all the latest news about the festival, not just in Singapore but all the legs in Australia and New Zealand as well. Users can also listen to tracks from the line-up within the app via Rdio. – Rappler.com
