Carly Rae Jepsen's Manila concert rescheduled

MANILA, Philippines – Carly Rae Jepsen's Manila concert, originally set for August 12, was moved to September 14, the promoter Concert Republic said in a statement posted on Instagram on August 10. (WATCH: Tom Hanks, Justin Bieber in Carly Rae Jepsen's 'I Really Like You' video)
According to Concert Republic, Carly Rae's management decided to move the show's date because of a typhoon that recently affected the other Asian countries on her tour. Carly Rae's performance at the Super Slippa 2015 Taipei Super Summer Music Festival was canceled because of Typhoon Soudelor, according to the China Times. She was not able to fly in on August 15 as scheduled, nor perform on August 16. Carly Rae tweeted about the cancellation of her show.

The show on September 14 will still be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and tickets bought for the original concert date will still be honored. The full statement reads:
"ANNOUNCEMENT:
"We regret to announce to you that @carlyraejepsen's show in Manila shceduled on August 12, 2015 will be rescheduled. Due to the recent typhoon that has also affected Carly Rae's other Asian show dates. Therefore, a collective decision was made by Carly's management to reschedule her show in the Philippines. This will also coincide with Carly Rae's recently announced appearance at the MTV World Stage Malaysia 2015 on September 12, 2015.
"CARLY RAE JEPSEN LIVE IN MANILA will happen on September 14, 2015 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

A few hours after Concert Republic's post, Carly Rae tweeted her own announcement and explanation.
