Audiences choose their favorites among the 8 competing for the grand winner title, and we'll hear what the judges have to say about each performance. But the contestants themselves have their own ideas on who they think has the best chances of winning.
At an earlier press conference held for the show, this season's performers weighed in on who they think are the ones to beat, based on the two episodes they shot so far.

A standout among the performers was funnyman Eric Nicolas. The highest praise for Eric came from Callalily frontman Kean Cipriano, who gave Eric's name without hesitation the moment it was his turn to speak.
"Sa season two ng Your Face Sounds Familiar, makikilala po ng buong mundo kung sino si Eric Nicolas," predicted Kean.
(On season two of Your Face Sounds Familiar, the whole world will know who Eric Nicolas is.)
He added that there's something about Eric's performances that makes him look forward to them all the time. "Magiging brand po siya dahil iba talaga yung performance niya na nakaktawa siya oo, pero ito pong yung ginagawa namin every week may piyesa kami, kumbaga ako personally, inaabang ko yung mga piyesa ni Eric."
(He'll really become a brand, because his performances are really different, he's funny, yes, but what we do every week is we have a piece, rather for me, personally, I always look forward to Eric's pieces.)
Kakai Bautista, Sam Concepcion and KZ Tandingan thought he was the toughest to beat, too. "Parehas kami, yung komedyante dito, pero sa season na 'to makikita niyo kung sino yung komedyante sa totoog buhay," said Kakai, who does stand-up comedy aside from being a theater actress.
(We're the comedians here, but this season, you will see who the comedian is in real life.)

Aside from Eric, KZ also thought that Sam was one to beat. Myrtle Sarrosa – to the amusement of the other performers – and Denise Laurel thought so, too.
"For me yung pinaka impressive talaga ay si Sam Concepcion (For me, the most impressive is really Sam Concepcion)," said Myrtle, ignoring the other performers who teased that she and Sam should be a couple. (READ: Sam Concepcion on ex Jasmine Curtis-Smith: She will always be special to me)
Myrtle remembered cheering for Sam when he was still on the talent competition Little Big Stars in 2006. "Kaya nagulat talaga ako 'cos alam ko na napagaling siya sumayaw, kumanta, kaya siya talaga yung for me yung dapat niyong abangan," said Myrtle.
(That's why I was really surprised, 'cos I know that he's so good at singing, dancing, that's why he's really, for me, the one you should all watch out for.)

Denise added that aside from Sam, she thought Kean was very talented as well. "I am so overwhelmed by the talent na pinapakita nila (that they show), and every week they show up and they show up," she said.
Denise admitted though, that it was hard for her to choose among the performers. "Dahil lahat kami may sariling strength, mahirap mamili, pero talagang every week talaga may iaabang silang iba-ibang strength na ilalabas. The strength in their hearts and their talent ang lakas talaga," she said, pronouncing "strength" as "strengk" – an inside joke among the performers.
(Because we all have our own strengths, it's hard to choose, but every week you really have to watch out for the different strengths that they'll bring out. The strength in their hearts and their talent is so strong.)
KZ Tandingan

For Michael Pangilinan, on the other hand, it was KZ. "Kasi si KZ pag binigay niya yung sarili niya doon sa gusto niyang gawin kahit na sinasabi niya 'hindi ko kaya, hindi ko kaya,' pero pag nadoon na, ikaw mismo magugulat ka," he shared. (READ: Harana singer Michael Pangilinan all set to be a dad)
(Because when KZ gives herself to what she wants to do, even though she says 'I can't do this, I can't do this,' when it's time to perform, you'll be surprised too.)
Michael added that once KZ is on stage, she's unrecognizable. "Nawala na si KZ [nung na sa stage na siya]," he said. (KZ was gone [when she was on stage.])

But Michael himself is tough competition too, according to Eric, who was impressed by both his looks and his voice. "Alam mo diba nasa dressing room pa lang kami, siya yung kanta lang nang kanta na hindi ka talaga maiirita kahit na umagang-umaga eh," shared Eric.
(You know, we're still in the dressing room, and he's the one who just sings and sings in such a way that you really won't get annoyed, even though it's early morning.)
"Gusto ko mag-CR pero di ko magawa, kailangan tapusin ko yung kanta niya eh," Eric joked. (I want to go to the bathroom, but I can't, I have to listen to his whole song.)
Everyone's tough
Even though they all gave names for who they thought was the one to beat this season, the performers agreed that everyone was talented.
For KZ, it was too early in the game to tell who could win the competition. She said, "Kaya kailangan pa namin abangan yung mga susunod na weeks kasi meron ding mga artists [na gagayahin] na malamang mabibigay sa isa s'amin na malay pala natin na yun pala yung strength nila."
(That's why we have to watch out for the following weeks, because there are artists [whom we'll have to impersonate] that will be given to one of us, and it might turn out to be that person's strength.)
Sam added that he thinks there will be a standout performer after every episode this season. "Itong season na to feeling ko walang magsstay sa taas, feeling ko every week ganiyan talaga siya eh kasi ang hirap kalabanin ang mga toh talaga," said Sam.
(This season, I feel that no one is going to stay on top, I feel that ever week it's really going to be that way, because it's so hard to go against these guys.)
Only the coming weeks will tell which of these 8 will be the best at impersonating other artists on Your Face Sounds Familiar. Someone who wasn't on this list might even emerge on top!
