WATCH: New Nikki Gil, BJ Albert wedding video shows touching speech from dad Dino
MANILA, Philippines – It has been 7 months since Nikki Gil and BJ Albert's wedding, but videographer Jason Magbanua has just released a 15-minute video of their special day on his YouTube account, Monday June 27.
On her blog, Nikki, wrote about meeting Jason the first time during the wedding of her best friend Iya Villania to Drew Arellano.
"I first met Jason at Iya and Drew’s wedding. But of course, I had already been hearing about him prior to that,' Nikki said.
“Si JMag? Siya yung grabeng galing gumawa ng wedding videos at same day edit…” (JMag? He's the guy who is so good at doing wedding videos and same day edit videos.)
“Siya yung nagpauso ng same day edit!” (He was the one who popularized the same day edit.)
“He’s always booked! I heard there’s a two year waiting list!”
Nikki also recalled that she and actress Shaina Magdayao would keep asking Jason to be their videographer for their dream weddings. When she finally got engaged, it was Jason who was one of the first she called up to be part of the event. Jason said yes.
In the new video, scenes from the wedding include excerpts of BJ and Nikki's wedding vows, as well as speeches from their parents and sponsors, among them singers Gary Valenciano and Jose Mari Chan. Footage of their prenup wedding video were also included.
During the reception, Nikki's mom gave a short speech teasing her daughter that she was now allowed to have "her sexy moment" and give back the purity ring.
But the touching moment came when Nikki's father Dino spoke.
"Six days ago at 6 am, when I went to Nikki's bedroom and carefully sat with her. I don't think she knows about it but for 5 minutes, I watched her breathe quietly. There was a soft smile on her face. I shed a tear that only God saw.
"BJ, you have to know that since she was a child until yesterday, she never failed to pass by our room to hug and kiss her papa goodnight or bye depending when she's arriving or leaving. Tonight I'll have to deal with that difficult adjustment.
"So I have a request. First when people treat her wrong or bash her online and she cries bad, give her a hug, soothe her hair until she falls asleep. Will you do that?" he told his son-in-law.
"And today, I'm so ready, that God answered my prayer and gave me a good looking, kind-hearted son. Thank you everyone, I love you both." – Rappler.com
