Jake Ejercito posts sweet message for Ellie

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Two weeks after news broke out he was the father of Andi Eigenmann's daughter Ellie, Jake Ejercito posted an emotional message on Instagram.

In the photo posted on Sunday, October 2, Jake said that Ellie has brought "good things in his life."

Jake wrote: "It may have taken me years to find out by myself, but I've been here for you even before your first precious breath – nothing and no one has or will ever change that.

"You've only brought good things to my life and I promise to do the same to you a hundredfold. Know that everything has been and will always be for you. And that I will hold your hand the whole way through.

"I can't wait till you start asking me questions. Although words will certainly fail to express how much I love you, our love story is filled with fun, optimism, and immeasurable bliss. It's a story of a million beautiful memories that no one can ever take away from us and I'd endlessly be proud to share it with you.

"As we always tell each other whenever we part ways or go to sleep, you will always be my princess and I, your first love.

"Stay real and stay bright, my love."

Jaclyn Jose, Andi's mother meanwhile posted a short message for her granddaughter on Instagram.

"I will protect you with my life," the actress said.

Last September 22, in an episode of Mo Twister's podcast, Good Times with Mo, Andi's sister Maxene Eigenmann said that Jake was the father of Ellie, and that they even had a DNA test. (READ: Maxene Eigenmann: Jake Ejercito is the father of Andi's daughter)

Andi has since issued a statement, asking for privacy for her daughter.

In a statement given to ABS-CBN News last September 30, Andi said:

"Recent events have put my daughter Ellie into the limelight with the media, netizens, and strangers questioning who her father is. I made a conscious choice not to talk about the paternity of my daughter in order to protect the privacy of Ellie.

"Although she was born into a showbiz family, as a mother, I would like to shield her from the intrigues and gossip that are part of the industry. Growing up, Ellie knew who her father was and he has been there for her, and that's all that matters. I hope this will put the issue to rest, out of concern for my very young daughter. I'm requesting everyone to respect the privacy of Ellie." – Rappler.com
