MANILA, Philippines – Dingdong Dantes said he's looking forward to working with Aga Muhlach and Enrique Gil on the movie Seven Sundays under Star Cinema. (LOOK: Aga Muhlach, Dingdong Dantes, Enrique Gil to co-star in movie)
In an interview with reporters on the sidelines of the YesPinoy Foundation and Smile Care Foundation event on June 29, Dingdong said he has been looking forward to working with Aga since he started his showbiz career.
"Alam mo, si Aga Muhlach isa sa mga iniidolo ko iyan growing up... Isa sa mga bagay na I was looking forward to is siyempre makatrabaho siya. And finally, ito na 'yung pagkakataon na ito. And luckily, kasama ko si Enrique, who is my real-life relative, and Cristine Reyes, I was with her in Starstruck pero onscreen magkakasama kami, and siyempre sa direksyon ni Cathy Garcia-Molina. So talagang 'yung journey namin together ay isang bagay na I'll look forward to," he said.
(You know, Aga Muhlach was one of my idols growing up. Of course, one of the things I was looking forward to was working with him. And finally, this is the opportunity to work with him. And luckily, Enrique, who is my real-life relative, is part of the movie, and also Cristine Reyes, I was with her during Starstruck but onscreen, this is the first time we will be working together, and under the direction of Cathy Garcia-Molina. So I'm really looking forward to this journey all of us will be going through.)
Dingdong and Enrique starred in the film She's the One with Bea Alonzo back in 2013. Asked why he's excited about working with Enrique again, Dingdong said: "He's an amazing actor. He's young and alam ko na magmula noon hanggang ngayon, marami na siyang mga bagong experiences (and I know that he's had many new experiences since we last worked together) that definitely converted him into a better actor right now."
Joining the film is actor Ronaldo Valdez, who will play their father.
Dingdong said what made him say yes to the movie, aside from the cast and the director, was that he liked the concept pitched to him.
"I like the family lens in the movie, meaning siguro matagal ako personally hindi nakakanood ng family-oriented Filipino film. And magandang mabigyan ng buhay 'yung pananaw ng iba't-ibang kapatid, character – 'yung mga members of the family. Kasi dito makikita 'yung dynamics ng isang Filipino family, traditional Filipino family. 'Yung kanilang hardships, challenges, at the same time 'yung mga happy moments nila," he said.

And it's nice to give life to the perspective of different siblings, characters – members of the family. In the movie, you'll see the dynamics of a Filipino family, a traditional Filipino family. Their hardships, challenges, and at the same time, their happy moments.)
Filming of Seven Sundays is scheduled to start soon.
Movie with Anne Curtis
Aside from the Star Cinema movie, Dingdong is also set to star with Anne Curtis in a film with the working title Sid and Aya (Not a Love Story) under Viva Films and N2 Productions.
A photo of their look test was released on June 28.
Dingdong is also eager to work with Anne again. The two were together years ago on the teen show TGIS.
"Huling beses ko siya nakasama nung nag-uumpisa pa kami pareho. Sabay kami pumasok sa TGIS and sobrang excited ako sa puwedeng maging kalabasan nitong proyekto namin," he said.
(The last time we worked together was when we were just starting out in showbiz. We entered TGIS at the same time and I'm very excited how this new project will turn out.)
Shooting of the film, according to Dingdong, starts in July. – Rappler.com
