MANILA, Philippines – Local celebrities took the time out on Monday, May 14, to participate in the nationwide barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
The elections happened after being postponed twice by Congress under the Duterte administration.
Kris Aquino, the "Queen of All Media" and sister to the former president posted: "Bumoto na ako — have you... and nagbaon pa ako ng #lovelovelove." (Already voted – have you? I also bought with me some love, love, love.)
Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters and boyfriend Camarines Sur governor Migz Villafuerte also voted.
Actress and Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Teresita "Winwyn" Marquez also voted in Paranaque.
Wyn's mother Alma Moreno and brother Vandolph also voted at the poll precinct.
Cavite vice governor and actor Jolo Revilla also took time to vote.

Actress Angelika dela Cruz, who is running for barangay captain in Malabon also voted.
The barangay or village is the basic political unit in the Philippines. Those who win in their respective barangays today will serve until 2010. The Sangguniang Kabataan, meanwhile, is the young council of those same barangays. – Rappler.com
