In an interview on Kris TV, aired Wednesday, January 21 Lyca said she wanted to meet the Pope up close.
(I cried because I was not able to approach him. I was far from his area. We were by the end.)
Although she was not able to approach him, Lyca said she still feels blessed to have performed “Tell The World of His Love” at the event. (WATCH: 'Tell The World of His Love' composer performs her song)
(I am still very happy even if I was not able to approach him. With so many singers, I was chosen to sing for Pope Francis. I am happy he blessed me and my family.)
Lyca performed during the pre-liturgical service before the Pope’s arrival in MOA. Other stars such as Angeline Quinto, Jed Madela, Jamie Rivera and Darren Espanto performed for the Pope at the University of Sto. Tomas during the encounter with the youth.
