MANILA, Philippines – What a whopping surprise!

Fast food chain Burger King proposed via Skype to pay for the wedding expenses of Joel Burger and Ashley King, or better known as the Burger-King couple.

"When we heard about the happy, Burger-King couple, we felt an overwhelming urge to celebrate their upcoming marriage. On so many levels, it felt like fate; they found each other and their story found us,” said Burger King’s CMO Eric Hirschhorn in a statement to State Journal Register.

Joel and Ashley, who have been friends since the 5th grade, announced their engagement earlier by taking a photo beside a Burger King sign near their hometown.
