MANILA, Philippines – Paolinne Michelle "Mich" Liggayu of "Jamich" fame took to Facebook to talk about her feelings and give her followers an update on life after losing fiance Jam Sebastian to lung cancer.
In the Facebook post, Mich did not directly address the conflict between her and Jam's mother Maricar Sebastian, details of which Maricar revealed last Saturday, April 18. Instead, Mich talked about how much she was hurting given the challenges she's facing.
"Inalis sakin lahat ni God ngayon. Gusto ko ishare sa inyo yung isang side ng Paolinne Michelle Liggayu ngayon," she wrote.
(God removed everything from me now. I just want to share with you one side of Paolinne Michelle Liggayu now.)
"Weak. Nothing. Helpless. Pero alam ko one day, someday, maiintindihan ko lahat ng nangyayari ngayon. Sobrang depressed pa rin ako til now. Madalas sinusubukan ko tatagan sarili ko sa lahat ng nangyayari. Oo pwedeng makita mo kong naka smile, pero behind that smile... Sobrang laki ng pain. Sobra.
(But I know one day, someday, I will understand everything that is happening to me. I am still very depressed until now. I try to be strong with everything that is happening. Yes, you might see me smiling, but behind that smile...there's so much pain.)
"Someday maiintindihan ko kung bakit pinaranas sa akin to ni God. At sana pagdating ng araw na yun, gusto ko rin ishare sa inyo kung paano ako makakatayo ulit.
(Someday I will understand why God is having me experience these trials. And I hope when the day comes, I can share with you how I was able to stand again.)
"Gusto ko maka bless ng mga tao. In my own little ways. Thank you. Thank you sa mga natira sakin. Kung may pinagdadaanan ka rin ngayon, di ka nag iisa. Hug... We can do this. Just pray. Pray harder. Don't give up. Ask for God's embrace. Someday ngingiti rin tayo nang totoo. God loves you very much. Be blessed."
(I want to bless people. In my own little ways. Thank you. Thank you for what I have. If you are going through a rough time, you are not alone. Hug... We can do this. Just pray. Pray harder. Don't give up. Ask for God's embrace. Someday, we will smile for real.)
Mich's dad Christopher Liggayu replied to his daughter's post.
"Dad is here for you anak(my child). Paolinne Michelle Liggayu. "
"Ask God for strength if you feel weak anak, ask God for guidance if you feel helpless and remember that God gave you to us anak, so don't say you are nothing. You mean a lot to us. We love you so much," he said.
Ongoing conflict with Maricar
Mich has not yet spoken directly about the issues raised by Maricar in an interview aired on Startalk Saturday, April 18. In the interview, Maricar said that she had the right to a share of the Jamich funds that the couple earned from when Jam was still alive.
She also asked Mich to give back some of Jam's things, accusing Mich of taking Jam's items without informing his family.
Jam died on March 4 following a year-long battle with lung cancer. He and fiancee Mich rose to fame as YouTube stars on their channel Jamich (Jam plus Mich), portraying relatable characters going through the different stages of relationships.
