'Game of Thrones' finale: Plastic water bottles somehow made it to the Dragonpit
MANILA, Philippines – "The Iron Throne," the finale of the epic HBO series Game of Thrones, was one for the books. Depending on who you ask, that's either a good or bad thing.
And amid the twists and turns of the often unpredictable show, came something of a shocker – plastic bottles at King's Landing. And at the Dragonpit, no less.
The accidental water bottle cameo, of course, is clearly an anachronism and inexplicable gaffe in the high-budget series. It's not the first time it happened. A few episodes back, fans had a field day after a takeaway coffee cup was spotted at Winterfell during a feast.
A shiny bottle of plastic can be spotted at the foot of Samwell Tarley (John Bradley) and Ser Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) during a high-level meeting.
The scene at the Dragonpit happens to be a crucial one. It features the remaining heads of house in Westeros deliberating on what happens to the kingdom following the events in Episode 5 and the first half of Episode 6.
Game of Thrones, based on the novels by George RR Martin, follows politics and personal lives of fictional Westeros' rich and powerful. Front and center to the conflict is the Iron Throne, where the Westeros king or queen sits. The hit show began airing in 2011. – Rappler.com
