MANILA, Philippines – The Baby-Sitters Club is going back in business in July!
Ann M. Martin’s hit novel series from the 90s has been adapted into a 10-episode series which is set to premiere on Netflix on July 3.
Like the novels, the series will follow a group of friends who run a babysitting business while figuring out middle school and growing up.
The show features a host of fresh faces playing the original BSC. It stars Sophie Grace as Kristy Thomas, Malia Baker as Mary-Anne Spier, Momona Tamada as Claudia Kishi, Shay Rudolph as Stacey McGill, and Xochitl Gomez as Dawn Schafer.
This is not the first time the novels went from page to screen. In 1990, a series of the same name aired on HBO. A film based on the novels was also released in 1995, starring Schuyler Disk, Rachel Leigh Cook, Larisa Oleynik, Bre Blair, and Tricia Joe. – Rappler.com
