JAKARTA, Indonesia — Sebuah pertunjukan musikal yang terinspirasi dari novel Rusia War and Peace — Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 — mendapatkan 12 nominasi dalam Tony Awards tahun ini seperti diumumkan di New York pada Selasa, 2 Mei.

Sementara 10 nominasi diraih oleh Hello, Dolly!, pertunjukan teater yang dibintangi Bette Midler setelah 50 tahun debutnya di dunia Broadway.

Ajang tahunan Tony Awards merupakan acara pemberian penghargaan bagi para insan Broadway atau sering juga dikatakan sebagai Academy Awards untuk teater.

Malam puncak Tony Awards 2017 akan diselenggarakan pada 11 Juni mendatang, dipandu oleh aktor peraih Piala Oscar Kevin Spacey.
