This Bono Gelato ice cream flavor won a People's Choice award in Singapore

MANILA, Philippines – Bono Gelato bagged the People's Choice Award for Zarah Manikan's mango ube symphony creation, at the Gelato World Tour held at the Marina Bay Sands Covention Centre, Singapore last March 20-22.

This was confirmed by the group on their Facebook page.

According to the press release, Bono Gelato's creation was included as part of the top 16 finalists. Zarah's mango ube symphony creation bested 40 entries from around the world to be part of the finalists.

The gelato creation is a combination of two flavors– ube and mango, which are often featured in Filipino desserts.

The Gelato World Tour is made possible by the prestigious Carpigiani Gelato University and the gelato and artisan confectionery expo, Sigep-Rimini. –Rappler.com
