Founded in Brianza, Northern Italy in 1959, the Galimberti brothers started a crafts workshop called “Flexform di Galimberti.” The first showroom displayed sofas and armchairs during the postwar era, with pieces finding its way into elegant buildings in Milan, villas overlooking Lake Como, to even the foyer of Teatro alla Scala. Moving its design forward, the company eventually collaborated with leading modernist designers of the time like Joe Colombo, Rodolfo Bonetto, and a then-young architect named Antonio Citterio.
