MANILA, Philippines - Following Vine's launch and its subsequent inundation with pornographic content, the video-sharing application is working on clearing the system of pornography.

Vine's makers appear to be hard at work policing the system to ensure the issue of pornography doesn't get out of hand, not only in terms of searchable pornography, but also in highlighting videos. This follows word of pornographic content briefly becoming an editor's pick on the app, which Twitter, who recently acquired Vine, said was caused by human error.

Apple, which previously noted Vine as an Editor's Pick application, quietly took Vine off its Editor's Choice section without offering commentary on the matter.

The Verge writes that some of the searches previously used to search for pornography on the app, such as #porn, now return no results.

Users, however, are becoming more creative. New workaround hashtags to circumvent policiing are being made, creating an uphill battle for the folks at Vine headquarters. - Rappler.com
