Further talk on Apple's iWatch
IWATCH AND WAIT. Apple's smartwatch is not confirmed, but some outlets are expecting something great from source reports.
MANILA, Philippines - While there's no official confirmation or named sources to back up rumors of an Apple iWatch, Bloomberg has some reports that hope to further whet consumer appetite for a smartwatch-enabled future.
According to Bloomberg's report, "people familiar with the company’s plans" said Apple had a team of around 100 product designers working on a wristwatch that can perform some of the iPhone and iPad's functions.
One of the unnamed sources notes this new watch would make calls, find out incoming caller identities, and check map coordinates, along with a pedometer and sensors for health data, such as heart rates.
While an iWatch is an intriguing prospect, Apple won't be alone in the wearable computing sector. Google hopes its Google Glass project, which aims to provide augmented, head-mounted displays for users, will gain traction with tech enthusiasts.
While we wait for official confirmation or an outright debunking of the iWatch, prospective futurists in cyberspace will want to keep their eyes out for the next big thing in smart fashion. - Rappler.com
