PlayStation 4 release date, launch countries set

MANILA, Philippines - Sony has finalized the release date and launch countries for the PlayStation 4 videogame console.

Announced at the Gamescom videogame expo in Cologne, Germany and backed up by a recent PlayStation.com blogpost, the PlayStation 4 is set to release in North America on November 15 and in Europe and Latin America on November 29.

Gaming website Destructoid also reiterated the launch countries that would officially be receiving PlayStation 4 units by the end of the year.

Those countries are the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, and Peru.

The PlayStation 4 will be available in those regions for US$399, 399 euros, and 349 pounds or an equivalent price, depending on region and location. - Rappler.com
