Fil-Am exec returns to Manila for Dec 6 book launch
MANILA, Philippines – Marie Claire Lim Moore is a Filipina-Canadian-American working mother and author of "Don't Forget the Soap: And Other Reminders from My Fabulous Filipina Mother." After spending the early part of her childhood in Vancouver, Canada, Claire moved to New York City and attended the United Nations International School. She went on to study Yale and climbed the corporate latter at Citibank. She is the Asia Pacific Regional Director for Citi Global Client Banking.
She met her husband while working in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and they married in Manila, Philippines, before moving to Singapore.
In "Don't Forget the Soap," the new author shares how she was able to travel the world, while keeping her ego in place, and her heart at home.
The book is a collection of stories from different points in Claire's life: Stories from the tight-knit Filipino community, experience at Yale and travels as a young executive.
"I’ve always thought about writing a book but I was only inspired to actually do it once I had my kids and started thinking about what kind of people I hope they will grow up to be. It made me reflect on my own past, my own childhood and everything I learned from my parents," Lim Moore said.
The book launch and signing will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013, at Fully Booked in Bonifacio, Global City, Taguig.
