MANILA, Philippines – Detained former senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr was rushed to the hospital on Saturday morning, November 5, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.
This was after Revilla experienced vomiting, severe headache, and hypertension at around 9 am on Saturday, the PNP Public Information Office (PIO) explained.
Revilla was first brought to the emergency room of the PNP General Hospital in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Later, Revilla was rushed to St Luke's Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
He arrived at St Luke's Global City at around 11:40 am, the PNP PIO said.
There, the actor-turned-senator underwent an X-ray examination.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Revilla’s wife, Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado, said the Revilla family "got worried" because of their "family history of aneurysm."
Revilla has been detained at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame since 2014 over plunder and graft charges in connection with the pork barrel scam, the Philippines' biggest corruption scandal in recent history. – Rappler.com
