WATCH: Hundreds join funeral march for Kian delos Santos
Kian delos Santos was finally laid to rest on Saturday, August 26.
Hundreds joined the Delos Santos family in the funeral march for the 17-year-old, who was killed in an anti-drug police operation in his community in Caloocan City.
Cops had claimed Delos Santos shot at them, supposedly forcing the police to shoot the teenager in self-defense, but CCTV footage and witnesses indicate otherwise. (READ: Our son, Kian: A good, sweet boy)
The incident, tagged by various groups and lawmakers as an apparent extrajudicial killing, had sparked condemnation across the country. Supporters of Delos Santos and critics of the Duterte administration's war on drugs joined the march, while some waited for the vehicle bearing his remains to pass by.
