Lamitan fire razes 32 houses

MANILA, Philippines - At least 45 families were left without homes after a fire erupted in Barangay Matibay, Lamitan City, Basilan at past 9 p.m. Saturday, August 3.

An abandoned lamp caused the fire, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection in Lamitan City. The blaze razed 32 homes.

Damage in the fire is estimated to be at P2 million.

There were no reported casualties.
