OLONGAPO CITY, Philippines – Residents of Olongapo City will experience up to 11 hours of power interruption on Tuesday, May 27, according to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) in Central Luzon.
“Customers of Olongapo Electricity Distribution Company (OEDC) will have outage from 7 am to 6 pm,” Ernest Lorenz Vidal, corporate communication and public affairs officer of NGCP Central Luzon, said in a statement.

According to OEDC president Jose Maria Abaya, normal operations would immediately resume after completion of work.
In Bataan, more than 5 hours of power outage was experienced in the towns of Hermosa, Orani and Samal on Saturday, May 24, due to the replacement of Bus A 69kV potential transformer and the re-charging of the SF6 gas of breaker 58HM4 at Hermosa Substation.
The power interruption was scheduled from 7:45 am to 2 pm, according to the NCGP advisory.
On Monday, May 26, the town of Dinalupihan, also in Bataan, will experience a 6-hour power interruption from 8 am to 2 pm due to the scheduled replacement of Bus A 69kV potential transformer and the re-charging of SF6 gas of breaker 58HM4 at Hermosa Substation.
