Palace bares new appointments
MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang on Saturday, May 30, announced the latest appointments of President Benigno Aquino III to different diplomatic posts and other government positions.
Deputy Presidential Spokespersin Abigail Valte made the announcement in an interview on state-run Radyo ng Bayan.
- Amable R. Aguiluz V, Special Envoy of the President to the Kingdom of Bahrain
- Joselito A. Jimeno, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Switzerland
- Leslie J. Baja, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Egypt
Meanwhile, Ifugao Governor Denis B. Habawel was designated as the chairperson of the Regional Peace and Order Council of the Cordillera Administrative Region.
The National Anti-Poverty Commission has two new members: Regina S. Antequisa, representing the victims of disasters and calamities; and, Ninian S. Sumadia, representing the youth and students.
Aquino also named Paisalin P.D. Tago, Jamel P. Dini, Abdulwahid A. Inju, and Analiza G. Flores-Malayang as commissioners of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, representing women. The 4 will serve until March 7, 2018.
Victor G. Chiong was designated to join the board of administrators of the National Electrification Administration.
Malacañang also announced 5 new members of the board of directors of the Philippine National Oil Company Exploration Corporation (PNOC EC): Rafael M. Iriarte, Ralph Pastor A. Salazar, Joseph L. Emnas, Fernando L. Zulueta, and Fernando V. Barreiro. – Rappler.com
