Susan Roces admitted getting hurt by the accusations thrown against her grandson Brian Llamanzares over the alleged expensive shoes he posted on his social media account.
“Oh yes, of course," Roces said, saying everyone makes mistakes.
(All of us we dream that everyone is perfect, but anyone commits mistakes, whoever he is, and no one should say he didn't commit a mistake. But if he is judged to be wrong, the kid should also be shown he committed a mistake, but it shouldn't be done in that way. It's enough that he sees the effect so he'll be careful with what he posts.)
Roces said the attacks against her grandson are all part of politics. The veteran actress said she need not do anything more, as the issue was already discussed by Brian and his mother, presidential bet Senator Grace Poe.
Nag-explika sya, tama na yun,” Roces said.
(That's part of politics especially with the upcoming elections. Whatever reminders he needed, his mother already did. I do not need to exceed or go beyond whatever scolding he got. He explained, that's enough.)
The veteran actress added that Brian, just like any other kid, should not be “pressured” because of the mistakes they commit.
(Because our children, the youth of our society, should not be pressured. Let's give them a chance, we all make mistakes. If there's something wrong, we should point it out, but we should also give them the chance to explain. Sometimes the mistakes they commit have a reason, and are coming from somewhere.)
Brian drew flak on social media for the alleged lavish shoes he posted online. Some critics said it was worth over a hundred thousand pesos, but Brian denied it, saying he bought it for only P10,000 using his own savings.
His mother, presidential bet Senator Grace Poe, also defended him, saying no government funds were used in the purchase. – Rappler.com
