A female nurse was arrested by Carabinieri police on 31 March for allegedly killing 13 patients at a hospital in the Tuscan town of Piombino, near Livorno, in 2014 and 2015. The dead patients were in hospital's intensive care unit with a range of different pathologies. She allegedly used medicines that were not part of the patients' therapies to kill them, sources said.
