For more than a year the clothespin makers of Bocaue Bulacan have been earning a meager P2 per kilo Most of them receive less than P200 from producing 3 to 5 sacks per week

Mae Pingol makes clothespins with her brother, Jonathan, whose bronchopneumonia has been recurring over the past four years. Their mother earns P200 a day working at a daycare in the village.
