The venue in the West Ilanin forest – an environmentally-protected area – is supposed to be used for the shooting competition of the SEA Games, even if there is an existing firing range just a kilometer away

SANCTIONED. Contractors undertake major works as of November 27, 2019, to prepare a venue for the shooting event of the SEA Games in a protected area within the Subic Freeport Zone without environmental clearances or permits.
