IN PHOTOS: May 10 annular solar eclipse
MANILA, Philippines - Parts of the Philippines were able to witness one of the universe's cosmic phenomena in the morning hours of Friday, May 10: an annular solar eclipse.
The solar eclipse, an event in which the moon's orbit takes it between the earth and the sun, was visible across a large part of the central and southern areas of the Pacific Ocean, large areas of Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Filipinos living in General Santos City, for example, got one of the best vantage points in the Philippines to see the event.
