MANILA, Philippines – Pope Francis is touching down on Philippine soil soon.

For months the whole country has been preparing for this year's papal visit, hoping to receive Pope Francis with our best foot forward.

In the midst of all this excitement to welcome the leader of the Catholic Church, many ask what the point of this event truly is.
