Led by the tutelage of Head Coach Tab Baldwin and his coaching staff, the 12-man roster for the SEA Games and reserves of the team took part in different drills and scrimmages as the squad prepares to fight for gold in the international tournament.
Team Captain Kiefer Ravena, naturalized Filipino Marcus Douthit, and San Beda Red Lions starting point guard Baser Amer are just some of the names included on the roster.
The Philippines is in Group A and begins its campaign on Wednesday, June 10 against Indonesia, followed by Malaysia the next day. The Philippines will wrap up the group stage on June 12 against Timor-Leste on June 12.
The Philippine men's team has won every gold medal since basketball debuted at the SEA Games in 1977, save for 1989 when Malaysia won the final.
