Ryan Wetherell shines at PBA Draft Combine

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino-Canadian standout Ryan Wetherell stole the show at the 2015 Philippine Basketball Association Draft Combine on Wednesday, August 21, by attaining the highest scores in 3 out of the 4 drills at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong City.
Wetherell had the highest scores among participants from both the morning and afternoon batches in the 3/4 court sprint (3.22 seconds), maximum vertical leap (43 inches), and lane agility drills (10.8 seconds).
Former National University Bulldog Robin Rono had the best performance in the reaction time drill by putting up a score of 0.366 seconds.
Filipino-American standouts Maverick Ahanmisi and Jerramy King both left lasting impressions by dominating the drills in the morning batch.
Ahanmisi scored 3.43 seconds in the 3/4 court sprint and 11.22 seconds in the lane agility drill, while King recorded 38.5 inches in the maximum vertical leap and 0.372 seconds in the reaction time.
