P. Diddy, Mark Wahlberg bet $250K on Mayweather vs Pacquiao
MANILA, Philippines – Hollywood celebrities Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and Mark Wahlberg are putting their money where their mouths on the highly-anticipated bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr on May 2 (May 3 in PH).
The famed rapper and the film actor casually agreed on a $250,000 bet over who will walk out of the 16,800-seater MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with the victory.
Combs, who has won three Grammy Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards, is supporting Mayweather in the 12-round welterweight title unification match against Pacquiao.
On the other hand, Wahlberg has been a longtime supporter of the Filipino boxer and is known for the roles he played in movies such as Three Kings, Italian Job, The Perfect Storm and Rock Star.
Wahlberg likewise starred in the sports biographical drama The Fighter, where he portrayed former boxer Micky Ward. - Rappler.com
