PSL: F2 Logistics continues winning streak over Sta. Lucia
MANILA, Philippines – F2 Logistics kept its record flawless with a dominant straight-set win, 25-15, 25-14, 25-21, against the Sta. Lucia Realtors in the 2019 Philippine Superliga (PSL) All-Filipino Conference at the Natalio G Velez Sports & Cultural Center at Silay City, Negros Occidental, on Thursday, July 4.
The Cargo Movers are on the top with a perfect 6-0 record and Sta. Lucia fell to 1-5 in the standings.
Fil-Hawaiian Kalei Mau delivered 10 attacks and 3 aces, while Ara Galang and team captain Aby Maraño also chipped in 11 points and 10 points, respectively.
As the Cargo Movers rolled to a 2-0 lead in the match, Sta. Lucia managed to close the gap in the 3rd set, but it was not enough to extend the match.
Meanwhile, Generika-Ayala edged out the Cignal HD Spikers in a five-set thriller, 25-23, 25-20, 20-25, 22-25, 15-12.
Player of the game Patty Orendain fired a team-high of 18 points, while team captain Angeli Araneta delivered 17 points.
With their fourth-straight win, the Lifesavers climbed up to a 4-1 standing.
Cignal rallied back from a 0-2 match deficit by extending the game to a decider, but the Lifesavers denied the HD Spikers of a grand comeback.
Despite the loss, Rachel Ann Daquis tallied 20 points, while Mylene Paat and Ranya Musa contributed 15 and 10 points, respectively.
