MANILA, Philippines - It took five drama-filled sets for the Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles to turn back the challenge of the top-seeded De La Salle University Lady Spikers, but in the end it was the Katipunan side that raised their arms in victory on Wednesday, March 12 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Lady Eagles came out blazing, winning the first two sets before falling into a lull and dropping the next two. The game came down to the wire as a controversial net violation gave Ateneo the win in set 5, punching their ticket to a do-or-die Game 4 on Saturday.
