POC president Cojuangco: We have a fighting chance in Rio
MANILA, Philippines – During the briefing for Filipino athletes who will be participating in the 2016 Rio Olympics next month, Philippine Olympic Committee President Jose “Peping” Cojuangco Jr bared that he has fire in his bones about the country’s chances.
“I am genuinely excited about this Olympics,” said Cojuangco.
“That is not to say that I wasn’t with the previous Summer Games. But the send-off in Malacanang yesterday (Monday, July 18) was a good note for all of us to reflect on before our departure. Plus, the fact that our athletes are really good.
