IN PHOTOS: NCR edges Central Visayas in football semis

LAGUNA, Philippines – The secondary boys quarterfinals football match between Natioanal Capital Region and Central Visayas at Palarong Pambansa 2014 ended at 1-1 in regulation, Friday, May 9.
The match had to be decided in a tight penalty shootout with NCR goalkeeper Christian Betanio coming up with 2 saves to help seal the 4-3 win for NCR.
It was a back and forth affair in the penalty round. The Central Visayas took a 3-2 lead before NCR narrowly gets the ball in to tie, 3-3.
NCR's keeper came up with a crucial block in the next play, then NCR nailed the final shot to advance to the finals.
