Facebook Live to get 3 new features
MANILA, Philippines – Facebook announced on Thursday, June 23 (Friday, June 24 in Manila), that 3 new updates would be making their way to the Facebook Live livestreaming platform in the future.
Facebook Live will eventually allow for two-person remote broadcasts. Users will also be able to pre-schedule livestreams and create a virtual waiting room for viewers. The company is also working with MSQRD to bring video filters in.
TechCrunch explained that two-person remote broadcasts will work like a remote interview, where a second person can drop in on a broadcast and join the conversation remotely, allowing for new executions to be done on the service.
Facebook will also be bringing in waiting rooms for people to chat and otherwise hangout ahead of a pre-scheduled Facebook Live broadcast. Facebook Live users can pre-schedule when they'll shoot, and Facebook will alert the prospective audience with notifications ahead of time so they can effectively tune into a live broadcast.
Facebook Live users will also be able to take advantage of virtual face masks while they stream on Facebook Live, so for those looking to add a fun spin to the world of live broadcasting, the MSQRD video filters will serve you well.
The company explained these 3 product updates for Facebook at VidCon, a yearly gathering for online video lovers. – Rappler.com
