Globe, Smart release Samsung Galaxy S5 postpaid plans
MANILA, Philippines — As the Philippine release of the Samsung Galaxy S5 draws near, telcommunications companies Globe and Smart unveiled postpaid plans for the anticipated smartphone.
Announced last February 24 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, the Galaxy S5 is Samsung’s flagship smartphone. The S5 sports a 5.1-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, a 16-megapixel rear-end camera with phase detection autofocus, and a fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor.
The Galaxy S5 is available on Globe’s mySUPERPLAN starting at Plan 999 with a monthly cash out of P1,699 (plan 999 + 700) for 24 months. The plan comes with 5GB/month of data, free calls and texts to all networks, and a 1 month Gadget care plan.
Globe is also offering the phone for free on mySUPERPLAN 2499 with a 24-month contract and mySUPERPLAN 3799 with a 18-month contract.

Smart is also offering the Galaxy S5 on its UnliSurf Plan 999 with a monthly cash out of P1,799 (plan 999 + 800) for 24 months. The plan includes unlimited surfing with 9 minutes of calls and 99 texts to all networks.
The S5 is free on its Postpaid UnliSurf Plan 2000 which includes unlimited mobile surfing, 150 minutes of calls, and 200 texts to all networks under a 30-month contract.
