#TwitterDown: Netizens speculate on latest Twitter outage
MANILA, Philippines – Twitter down!
On Thursday, April 14, popular social media site Twitter went down for more than 10 minutes in a number of areas around the world.
Users logged more than 1,117 reports on the site during the time the site was out of commission.

Some people speculated that the site may have been down due to the huge influx of tweets about basketball legend Kobe Bryant's final game, which started some minutes before the crash.

Twitter released a statement about the outage but no explanation was given as to why the site crashed:
